Based on my understanding, they need to zoom in further on the orientation of the fractures. By aligning the well perpendicular to the natural fractures, they are able to increase the flow rate. Some of the oil fields are naturally fractures clastics and by understanding how they are oriented, you can make then flow commercially. The seismic has to be 3D which would add to the costs to see these fractures. The gross pay of 800m is huge and to sample oil from it is a big plus. They also mentioned extensive fractures which is a big positive too. However they need to do more work on it and this is likely further out after the easy fruits in fault and ramp plays are done. Potential is huge though..
alternatively, they can frac it like the shales in US but the costs r a lot higher and a lot of delineation wells are required.. Pretty cost intensive stuff which is prob not their priority at this moment..
