RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Deal Cacheitup, you seem to forget that both the saskatchewan prime minister and the canadian government have stated that they are not favorable at all about acquisitions from foreign state owned companies. That being said, if they ever tried to buy the whole company, they would face opposition. It happen when Sinochem wanted to outbid POT. They have lived it once and they still face it everytime they want to acquire companies. What about Buying Vale's land. Well, they would have to wait years for the different stages of approval while facing opposition from government because they are not a private company and the canadian government, as stated, said how warry they are of state own companies. What about financing...well, it's really not that much of a deal. CNOOC is big and state owned...guess what is also state owned...China investment corporation the largest sovereign fund in the world, who by the way, also wanted to join in for POTASH. Do you know about their warchest ? 200 - 300 billions. You heard it...what are they looking for ? You guessed it...investing for the government of China. I will not even talk about the capacity of Chinese controlled bank with hundreds of billions more. You think Chinese work the same way north americans think about investment. They invested trillions in phantom cities....why ? They invest for the long term. Quick returns are not what they are looking for. If you had the fact that they need...and i mean NEED to feed 1.3 billion people, what is 4 billions in cash ? They created funds with hundreds of billions to make acquisition and that's not even including what the state owned companies can invest or their banks. One question for you, how much is feeding your country worth for a government ?
