RE: RE: 14 million ounces of gold !!!!! Chilly, I guess I missed the question if I am the one you are calling goldexpatoot.... I have no proof that they have not. I know the former newmont manager who was based in Vancouver until Newmont closed the office. I didn't ask him directly if he had looked at BGM, but I did ask the guy who does world wide evals and he had never even really heard of it? He was not following the story when I brought it up with him say 4 months ago.... Anyway, maybe a rogue newmont employee is... I can't say. FWIW, the Newmont guys would not divulge any info if they were as far as what they thought, but I am quite confident they would acknowledge the property at least...
I don't really know anyone at Goldcorp. I do know multiple senior geologic managers at Barrick, but I am thinking given the fact that they just came to NV and asked for volunteers to take severance packages (all cuts were in G & A, not exploration) that they are focusing on getting finances better for the next year. I don't see them in a position to be buying anything for a bit.
Likely canidate would be New Gold, but they have some rather large $ pouring out with the recent purchase of Rainy and Black.... I really do see them with hands full for a bit.
Kinross is just trying to stay afloat... so I don't see that.
It is way to big of a project for Hecla to get into.
Anglo Ashanti is avoiding North America I believe... At least for the short term
Anyway Mr. or Mrs Chillyballs, who would you suspect that the four "majors" are?
