Carbon Offsets

I wonder has anyone looked into if the GE Plasma system can apply to be a carbon offsetter? Seems to be they should be on the top of the list, getting rid of garbage (methane) and very low carbon footprint to accomplish that and then to produce low carbon gas and energy as an end product, where do we sign up for this? I wonder what Obama is planning, could be a game changer.
