RE:settlement valuation

RE:settlement valuationIvan said, "If Rye Patch wins this lawsuit, will they be awarded a settlement...."

It is my understanding that if rpm wins, they will have quiet title to all of what are now called the 'LH Claims', including about 1/4 of the Rochester Pit.  Couer may attempt to reach an 'out of court' settlement before a verdict is rendered, or before the trial even starts.

Low metal prices definitely impact the situation.  They make it even more likely that any settlement would involve some sort of NSR (net smelter royalty).  That way, when metal prices rise, rpm's cut rises, since it would be a percentage of output, not a specific dollar amount.

I suppose it is possible that Rye Patch could be awarded a settlement by the courts to compensate us for our lack of access to our property (1/4 of Rochester).
