Why Short Sellers love Media subscriber reports, Analyst subscription fees, and Watsa 5 years?

Why Short Sellers love Media subscriber reports, Analyst subscription fees, and Watsa 5 years?  Why Short Sellers love Media subscriber reports & Analyst subscription fees, and Prem Watsa's 5 year plan for conversion?  Because they comprehend that Blackberry will press release their subscriber’s numbers even though their new operating system has no subscription fees therefor does not record subscriber.

Old Blackberry products required a subscription fee which people who bought their phones paid.
Every quarter Blackberry released their subscriber numbers.
The more new subscribers they got the more money they made.
Analyst modeled their reports based on how many new subscribers reported.
Media reported on rise or fall of number of subscribers
Investors tracked increase and decrease in subscribers.

Unfortunately, BB10 has no subscription therefor records no subscribers and every subscriber that turns to BB10 will no longer count as a subscriber.
If all 78000 000 Blackberry subscribers switched to BB10 platform Blackberry would record a decline or loss of 78000 000 subscribers.
