RE:Lets be friends

RE:Lets be friends"Wpx has some of the best and most experienced diamond and copper miners in the business on its management team"

The WPX board of directors does not need technical expertise on the specifics of potash mining. To imply that they do need that is comparable to implying that the board of an auto company must be comprised of automotive engineers or that the board of Air Canada must be comprised of pilots.

The WPX board needs broad mining/resource industry experience related to things like: executing feasibility studies, interacting with regulators and acquiring permits, establishing mining process input resources (i.e. water), planning for infrastructure and transportation needs, project financing, and so on.

The most technically knowledgeable people in a company are usually NOT on the board of the directors.  Steve Jobs wasn't a electrical/computer engineer, nor was he an audio engineer nor a telecom expert.  But under his management the company still successfully launched the Mac, iPod and iPhone.  The technical experts all worked under him.

So as long as WPX board can manage the project adequately - and this means completing milestones on time, putting together successful corporate strategies, knowing who to hire for what jobs, and managing corporate finances, then they have my support.  So far I don't have any major complains with what they've done.

The fact remains that the WPX board secured the largest off-take agreement of any of the juniors, and did so with the absolute best partners that any junior could hope for.

If you want to complain about the merits of the WPX resource or project in general, go ahead and put togther an argument.  But insulting the board is downright silly given their track record.
