RE:About the science...Actually greyfox you are wrong. As I mentioned in another post the placebo group may have made many lifestyle improvements to account for any strong results. It's human nature especially in a study group that is being monitored, to want to be a "good patient". As for your disbelief in a vegetarian diet, remember cholesterol is only found in animal products. So if you don't eat them logically your cholesterol level will drop (in the majority of cases, barring familial hypercholesterolemia). I'm not seeing the cardiac wards filled with vegetarians.
