Google maps. Check out FALC images!
Years ago if you tried to zoom in on the FALC drilling Site using Google maps they would only let you go so far before blurring the entire area. The pom-pom gang always speculated on how this was an indicator of how important and grand this project was. Blurred out like the Pentagon. He he!
Today if you try zooming in on the project Site there are no limitations.
You can really get an appreciation of how much drilling activity there was in the past. The entire area is a giant collage of old drill pads and small roads.
I have been to the Site many times over the last decade but the aerial view is second to none. Stonesthrow would probably agree.
Just for fun I printed the Google image off on my HP laser printer. Would make an incredible picture in any geologists home office!! Next, I gave one copy to my granddaughter and told her to play dot to dot.
15 minutes later she announced she was done. To my surprise she had connected the permitted "dots" (drill pads) only.
With a little imagination and if you squint as you hold it up and turn it just slightly clockwise....you can see the profile of our fearless leader holding up the middle finger of his right hand!!!!!!
GENIUS!!!! Who doesn't appreciate good original art? So all along it's been an elaborate art project? It all makes sense now.
I framed my granddaughter's dot to dot picture and put it up next to my unaltered image. Incredible conversation piece!
Happy Canada Day everyone!
