Sarah's responseMy query to Sarah:
Can you please clarify the final point on slide 10 with regard to unusual placebo group results. Is this stating that the placebo group had -0.6% regression compared to baseline?
Sarah's reply:
The bullet point on slide 10, “Placebo effect was unusual in the trial” is referring to that we had unexpected strong results in the placebo group. Meaning these placebo results were higher than expected. The actual numbers of this placebo data I do not have- they will be available at a later date. I also want to clarify that the trial was powered vs. baseline not placebo.
My thoughts:
If the topline date was based on IVUS of all participants, and they know the drug group results were -0.4% plaque regression, how can the placebo group results not be extrapolated from this?
