Curious ... under the 'oil drilling for dummies' section.Okay, the drill should be in the Abiod by now and near TD. I understand drill logs can be done during drilling or after drilling and that there are several methods. I am guessing that the drilling to the shale/slate seal over the Abiod would not reveal anything other than to confirm the existing 2D and 3D seismic data about the various strata to that depth. The all important drill log details then, are in the Abiod formation starting around the 2300 meter depth. I assume it takes time to interpret the geoscientific data and pressures etc. in the total Abiod section to TD.
I don't know how long that takes and have to assume that it is kept extremely confidential until disseminated in an official news release. I am thinking as well (no pun intended) that no one could have any idea at all about the potential of an oil trap before the Abiod was penetrated ... so any rumours of information 'leakage' have to be nothing other than 'creative prophecy'.
Any enlightenment on the above assumptions would be most appreciated.
Looks like any news will now be next week.
