Debt
Debt The companies I regret buying over the last 25 years have one thing in common.Too much debt.
When things get tough, the high debtors are the first ones to get into trouble and the ones most
likely not to survive.A common strategy used when looking at a sector is to buy the low debtors
and short the high.Gegardless of how the sector performs that strategy will mostly gives good results.
I personally consider shorting unethical,(hoping a company will do poorly, sounds too much like
vultures to me) Being part German, I know a fair bit about vultures taking over. Thanks to the
Versailles Treaty Germany was almost finished off. That treaty was the main reason for WWII.
