RE:What can I say...

RE:What can I say...I hope the gentleman goes after both RBC and MFC - first, unless there is a previous NSF cheque, any insurance company will try to withdraw funds a second time, usually in 3 - 5 business days. Second, the bank could surely have let a small amount of less than $97 go through against the $12500 deposit, that's rediculous! Given the stark reality of what this young family was facing it's perfectly understandable that both the letters - and a base amount in the bank to cover the cheque - could have been misplaced, if they were even thought about. Could the bank not have provided a small overdraft to the account?
I hope the bank comes forward to show the insurance company that the money WAS there and that the insurance policy is paid out. My deepest condolances to this gentleman and his children. Shame on you both RBC & MFC!
