RE:RE:Tight ship? or just no good news to leak out?who cares about the porosity

People who drill for oil and gas, care about porosity a lot, otherwise where will the oil collect?
On Wingat, the oil collected in thin (sub-commercial) sand sections, the rock was too tight to allow oil to collect. Same problem as HRT 6?  where they could see the light from the Petrobras rig 18 KM away, Petrobras drilled down into swiss cheese...17% porosity that allows large quantities of oil to form and flow, HRT drilled into cheddar cheese...there was oil there ...3% porosity, also known as tight formation. Frack ( man made porosity) it and the rock will generate millions of cracks that allow the oil to pool and flow. But that's not going to happen in the middle of the Amazon anytime soon

3D suggested 30% porosity at Wingat...just think about that. 30% of the rock is filled with voids that oil can migrate into and pool, just waiting for a 15,000' long straw to come along and suck it dry. That's a HRT Happy Dance, alas only found sub-commercial oil due to thin sand sections and little porosity in the reef structure
