The Investment Reporter, in its July 12, 2013, issue, says buy Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc., recently $3.19. The Reporter said buy on June 1, 2012, at $3.67. A $1,000 investment at $3.67 would now be worth $867. Thompson Creek Metals produces molybdenum at its Thompson Creek mine in Idaho, its Langeloth metallurgical plant in Pennsylvania and 75-per-cent-owned Endako mine in British Columbia. It is also developing the Mount Gilligan gold-copper project in B.C. It expects to earn 81 cents a share in 2014, which would give it a low forward P/E ratio of 3.9 times. The shares also trade over 62 per cent their book value of $8.49. The diversified miner is back as a buy if you have no need for dividends and can accept higher risk.
