RE:One mans journey with the PGD share price.Within DeBeers "Luck" and "Care" can be reduced to the statistics of mineral chemistry and diamond population studies.
For someone in the diamond exploration game, investing in diamond stocks seems like skill and knowledge. However if I invest in a fast food company, a biotechnology company or ASX:MMS then of course I need some luck.
As an example of De Beers and statistics, where other companies need 2500 carats to value a mine, De Beers with its massive statistical database on diamond size populations in kimberlites only needs 1500. Thus I am extremely pleased that PGD is expecting about that many carats from the 508 ton mini-bulk sample.
My motives for being here are this. I need to have a better idea next time when to take profits. I gave away a LOT of profit last time. Once this thing starts to run, I have no idea what “over-valued” is, or the meaning of other news that affects the price that is non-scientific. But I believe you guys, as financial market experts, technical analysts and fundamental analysts with some skin in the game will.
