RE:SELL???
RE:SELL???There was a video on the internet with Mike De Wit (ex De Beers Africa top geologist) saying that if you could pick one mine in all the world to own (of all commodities) you should choose the Jwaneng diamond mine in Botswana. Alas I cannot relocate it. Couldn't find it on the Google cache either.
Diamond Mines are indeed very rare, and getting rarer. Many factors make diamond mining very profitable. The geology of a pipe is very well known and understandable compared to base metals. The kimberlite itself if not very dense and quite soft. Thus It is crushed easily (the trick is not breaking the big diamonds) and extracting the diamonds from the ore requires no toxic chemicals whatsoever, unlike a gold mine. This bodes well for environmental approval.
So is PGD sitting on the proverbial gold mine? I sure hope not. They're sitting on a diamond mine.
