RE:RE:RE:PM Harper

RE:RE:RE:PM Harper

"Glencore did not break down the ($8.1 Billion) impairment, but much of the hit is expected to be from early-stage projects and greenfield operations. That is mines built from scratch which have long been unpopular with Glencore management. These include the $5 billion nickel (mining & FeNi + Coal Power Plants) operation Koniambo in New Caledonia." "Copyright © 2013 euronews Aug 20/13"

Koniambo is 49% owned by Xstrata's Falconbridge Entity in Canada which Glencore's M. Davis has mentioned maybe wanting to sell. PM Harper & the French Govt would then get involved. New Caledonia's Native People's SMSP owns 51% of Koniambo. Vale is also very much involved in its very costly New Caledonia Goro Ni Co mining & refinery.

The lesson here is that PM Harper will want to spearhead minimizing ROF RR & Nearby Upgrading Chromite Plant Capital & Operating Costs & maximizing very very long term after-tax ROF related profits.

PM Harper must strongly support Canada's KWG/DDI/CCC being fully financed with minimal non-Canadian strings attached.
