One other aspect that may be occuring and the reason for the amount of time it's taking is that Mint may have been forced to come up with a modified business plan in order to secure financing. That may include change in management and BODs, which can be supported by Hoggs departure. Of course, even with this scenario, it's not a pretty picture, but nonetheless, it does take the imminent insolvency out of the equation.

Having said that, my gut feeling is IF there is to be a "saviour", it will be one of the big investors, motivated to act by not wanting to lose all or to minimize the lose by providing minimal funding sufficient to realize an exit strategy.
