Well, I feel that 1st Nations stuff is extremely racists -- I was born in Canada too and don't like being 2nd fiddle to a people who by right of birth feel that all of their whimes should be met from a bottomless public purse to whom they talke plenty and contribute nothing.

I am insulted by the 1st Nations position of "stewarts of the land" when in fact they came here from Europe / Asia just like everyone else here. The big diference is that the Europeans worked hard to develop the land. If the 1st Nations say they have  claim to the land show me a tiny bit of improvement they have made? You can't. Not in Canada. They didn't build anything or do anything. They existed nomadically moving from place to place doing as little as possible. Well, use it or lose it.

Ok. glad to hear you are well aware of the issues involved.  I mentioned New Prosperity in a BGM because it is a real and present danager.

IMO, if Harper is able to put a sunset to the Indian Act, then he'll go down as their greatest Canadian PM to date, second to none. Sir John A. was pretty good. But Harper, solve the Indian problem and you'll be the best.  It will be a hard long fight because of the left wing that IMO does not have clue one about what the world economy is about. Again, Harper and his man on Trade, Fast Eddie are out there every day doing deals. Canada has resources and the skills to extract same. If it was you have it is what you need to sell to the world because you have to be poroviding something the world wants... otherwise the future isn't going to be so good.  If left wingers want to make Canada a banana republic depending on eco tourism, well, that is their right to try for it. I will not assist. Rather, as someone who has never voted Conservative, I find myself working to promot Harper for another 4 years. Go figure. The Conservatives are the new left and the LIberals are the old conservatives.
