DiaMedica Therapeutics Inc. is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. Its lead candidate DM199 (rinvecalinase alfa) is the first pharmaceutically active recombinant (synthetic) form of the human tissue kallikrein-1 (KLK1) protein to be clinically studied in patients. KLK1 plays a critical role in the regulation of local blood flow and vasodilation in the body, as well as an important role in reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.

Well thats news for sure. Really?LOL  No small company would go to Phase 3 trials unless they failed to find a buyer. The costs and risks are way way too high and, for big pharma, the risks of having to pay for a phase 3 success would be astronomical in a drug for diabetes. Much better to take a 400MM risk which for them is pocket change earlier on
