..NVS could easily issue a release without any binding statement, such as 'we have been approached, etc., there is no guarantee, etc, etc.'  As to price rumour, it does seem high but some of the pages of news I had translated indicated they had even nailed down details such as break fee!! The potential $500MM conv deb financing might have been precursor to leak but I still do not understand why NVS do not issue SOME statement ALREADY.
