Southern Silver Amends Private Placement

 

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Aug. 30, 2013) -

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Southern Silver Exploration Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SSV)(FRANKFURT:SEG) (the "Company" or "Southern Silver") plans to issue up to 25,000,000 units in a non-brokered private placement at a price of $0.02 per unit to raise $500,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one share purchase warrant, with each warrant exercisable to purchase one additional common share for a period of three years at an exercise price of $0.05 per share. This private placement, which was previously announced on August 27, 2013, has been amended with respect to its unit price.

Net proceeds from the private placement will be utilized for county and claim fees to maintain the status of the Company's properties, and for general working capital. The private placement is being conducted pursuant to the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") bulletin of April 12, 2013 - Private Placements - Extension and Modification of Temporary Relief from Certain Pricing Requirements. The private placement and any finders' fees which may be payable are subject to acceptance for filing by the TSXV.
