Reading the statcounter information seems to always make me question the methodology and the the results. Though, if you follow this link they bring forth the method in which they get their results.

Slight loss of credibility though with the spelling errors they have in their faq

I have sent an email to them asking if their measures can conclude what phone was used, for instance I am curious of the BB10 usage with BB7 devices still in use. I'd like to see if the ratio of the two phones has changed much over the last half year and if loss in share of BB7 devices has been added by BB10 devices.
