the problem with your calc. is the brokerage firms won't give you the exchange rate you are using. for example, right now my investorline account shows if i sell $1 us I get 1.02 cdn.

also with the the cdn job numbers out today the loonie is up over 1%. you could possibly end up closer to par and get no premium on the us buck by the time you get cashed out.. bit of a mugs game, nobody knows for sure,lol. anyone says they do are full of it, lol. lpx does look like a reasonable investment though. not sorry I sold out,   had some other stocks i was looking to buy.
