CEO situationHi Everybody.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, however I wanted to throw my two cents into the equation. I've held shares for a couple of years now. Needless to say, it;s been a disappointing ride. But I don't view the change in leadership as a bad sign necessarily. The track record for Kirk has been poor. The assets for this compnay are substantial. New leadership could only be positive over the long term.
Fluctuations in price are going to happen with any speculative stock. We have political exposure in an unproven ,arket, we have the always present risk that this resource will never be feasable. Plus we have the traditional penny stock board of directors who line their pockets with options. But some of the conventional wisdom on this board needs to be addressed. There were a significant number of options that expired earlier on this year. New opions were issued, but I don't see it as a dilution at this point.
The vacant CEO position could be a gift in the making. We never know what could be going on in the backroom of possible suitor companies or strategic partners. There are several large institutional buyers/holders with significant skin in the game. I recall Investors Group holds over 9% of the outstanding shares. I know that mean power to help provide direction to the company. I'm still holding, prepared to see this as a total loss, but cautiously optimistic some really good things are right around the corner.
