Market on Close – Toronto Stock Exchange – Sept. 20 2013

Market on Close – Toronto Stock Exchange – Sept. 20 2013
I don’t recall seeing this type of print for Imris in the past.
Today (Sept 20th) Imris traded 41,672 shares on the TSE with an open of 1.90, high 1.90, low 1.81, and last trade in regular hours of 1.81.
I didn’t see the open today but sometimes there is a locked market on the open, and the opening trade is determined by:
A price at which the most shares trade; leaving the least imbalance and closest to the last sale.
The Calculated Closing Price (CCP) for “market on close” will be derived from similar logic used at the opening (i.e. the price at which the most shares trade; leaving the least imbalance and closest to the last sale.)
Today Imris traded 46,435 shares on the NASDAQ with an open of 1.792, high 1.81, low 1.75, and last trade in regular hours of 1.75.
Does anyone understand what is going on here and does it have any significance.
