I have to disagree. The share price is now trading about the halfway point between a deal or no deal. If events happen in the next few weeks that increase the probability of a deal happening then the stock price will rise to a new point of equilibrium that represents that new balance point of risk to reward. If in the next few weeks there in silence or just some meaningless smoke then the market will see that as an increased probability of it not going through. From that, the price will drop to reflect that increased risk.

Time in itself is not your friend or enemy. It is what happens or does not happen in that time that will decide whether the current stock price rises or falls.
