He's Back

He's BackMr1derful is back to give you his opinion. First thing I'll say is that you all should go back and re-read my posts on FTP over the last year. I have questioned the fundamentals of this stock and I have been correct in my calls. I also proved I am not always negative on this stock. In fact, go read my Dec 31, 2012 post on FTP   ...the call was brilliant.

The news release was a bit strange in the sense that it talked mostly about the co gen issues. I would have liked to know what kind of an operating rate there has been at Thurso. If FTP is to have any chance of hitting their cost targets they need the mill to run smoothly at capacity. The fact there was no mention of the operating rate probably tells me they are not running the mill near capacity. The news release also mentioned "challenges in the dissolving market generally" and "the company has begun conducting a strategic assessment of alternatives for the FSC mill." Sounds like red flags to me. DP is turning out to be a very tough business.
