Husky Road Completed???

Husky Road Completed???You may remember that there was a media report that Husky was having problems completing their road because they used clay to fill in a swamp.    Well I am not so sure that this is correct.  Husky has posted weekly progress reports on their road contruction and can find no such problems.  However, they did have a very unusual problem with combustible shales which burned through some of the timbers on the wing wall on the bridge and created a safety hazard because of noxious gas.

Yes, you heard it right, burning shale.   Apparently, the shale containes iron pyrite which when exposed to air generates heat and this in turn cause the sulfur in Iron pyrate to ignite and emit all sorts of nasties.

Husky has removed the offending material and has replaced it with clay.  It looks like the problem is fixed.  They had some major delays due to rain, but it looks like the road is finished.  They working until the last week of September and seem to be finished???

If the road is compelte this would be great as they can start drilling the two vertical soon.  Is there anyway to find out for sure?
