What are the potential outcomes for stock value if sale?

What are the potential outcomes for stock value if sale?I have no experience in holding stock during the sale of a company. I am retired and have quite a lot invested in RPL for the dividend income. What are the likely scenarios regarding stock price if Renegade is sold? This is not a 'raid' or an unwelcomed take over bid but a company actively seeking somebody to buy it out. Consequently is there likely to be premium paid? Please enlighten me. I'm very worried and out of my depth.
