RE:RE:RE:What are the potential outcomes for stock value if sale?First of all, as hawk posted, any sale needs 66% approval by shareholders and RPL is most likely very widely held as the institutions have bailed in favour of retail investors who are not burdened with governance issues.
if Mr. Budd is as good as his reputation suggests, RPL shareholders can expect either a decent cash offer or a business arrangement that will allow RPL shareholders to continue as part of a bigger entity. Eric Nuttall alluded to this when he suggested on BNN that RPL would not exist in its present form next year.
If no decent offer presents itself, RPL has the cash flow to muddle on under a new management team and it appears that appointing a new team is the least favoured option. In any regard, RPL is still in the game and the 3Q13 numbers may give us a bit of room. If not, the bots will be busy.
