Most of us pay nothing to be members here. But it is our viewership or readership that SH uses to demand certain advertising fees from corporate clients. Without us, they have nothing. And that's also one of the reasons why bashers and peddlers of fluff never have their accounts cancelled. Each account represents a certain dollar amount in advertising fees.

Bullboard improvements on the way

Stockhouse.com recently relaunched on a whole new platform with a whole new look. Let us know what you think. We are still making changes and will not stop until the bullboards are better than ever.

Here are some of the changes we have made very recently:

• Defaulting to a flat/unthreaded view of bullboard posts (newest posts at the top)
• A summary view of the main bullboard for each company (more posts on the main page)
• Implemented ignore lists (automatically hide posts from selected users)
• Integrated ignore lists into messages (you can now remove users from the list)
• Higher contrast for visited links/ posts in forums
• Useful bullboard titles for browser tabs (put symbol and company before Stockhouse - Bullboard)
• Ability to add or remove bullboards from favourites
• The ability to view the previous or next posts with a single click
• Order threads such that threads with the most recent posts appear at the top ( newest content at the top )
• Portfolio shows (and links to) the most recent bullboard posts for each company followed
• Addressed inaccurate read counts (they were dramatically under-reporting)
• Eliminated broken bullboard links in portolios
• Addressed many bugs leading to bugs and glitches

Below is a partial list of improvements we are currently working on:

• Displaying more information on posts (such as the number of reads and the post number)
• Better integrating messages and bullboards (send a message from a post)
• Tracking down bugs and increasing the speed of the site
• Exposing bullboard trends to aid in discovery
• Proper formatting of bold and italic text
• Enhancing ignore list management
