RE:RE:RE:Update - status reportI've been to the plant twice but only on the annual investor day. The plant is located inside a secure nuclear training facility that belongs to another company. That means all visitors need to be cleared by two sets of security. It is not really set up to accommodate tours which is why they do it on a scheduled basis, once a year.
As for the tipping fees...that's one of the reasons the technology has taken so long to commercialize, imo. The economics have to work. High fuel prices, high tipping fees, then you have a shot at it. But, that is the way the world is moving. Plus the UK, for example, is trying to get rid of landfilling.
This is moving like an iceberg, but there are reasons why Foster-Wheeler got involved and opened an office up in Teesside.
