no dent in the shorts

no dent in the shortsThe short report just crossed the wire and the difference between Sept 30 to Oct 15 was a decrease in shorts of 339k shares, or .25%.  The closing price on Sept 30 was 6.62 and $6.65 on Oct 15.  Still 34.1 million shares short as of Oct 15 (or 24% of the float).  The price has appreciated by ~9% from Oct 15 to closing today ($7.22) on Oct 18 so if it keeps going up the end of Oct short report may read differently.  As of now, not much difference and I think the price appreciation is a result of buying demand vs short covering, which bodes well for the price.
