Only in Canada

Only in CanadaThe government is supposed to do what is in the best interests of society, can't think of another G7 country that would do so much to appease the minorty (aboriginals, enivronmentalist activists etc..).  These groups and their supporters make up a very small percentage of the population.  most Canadian's want growth, jobs, and prosperity - how else are we going to pay the outrageous taxes which go to support aboriginal land claims, retirement benefits, and debt servicing?

I would think that Petro China is still intersted in this deal and worst case is that they pay less based on some sort of buffer zone - that's down the road.   Only possible surprise would be an approval by the AB cabinet meeting this month - but that may be a long shot.  May still work out in the long term - have to balme myself for this one, the writing was on the wall.

Don't understand why people are happy when others lose money - it sucks, but the shorts win this one round.
