RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:NR - Bulk Sample Drill Program Concludes With Additional HigI'm not at all sure that Strathcona did anything illegal, just something unethical and ultimately probably very self-damaging. There is no question that they believe in their methodology 100% and think Pretium was totally going down the wrong track in relying on Snowden's FS. But they never stated that there was no gold in VOK, just no "valid" (proven economically recoverable) resources. (FWIW, there are mines like Serra Pelada in Brazil that have no bankable FS or even reliable resource estimate, in or near production, that are likely going to be extremely profitable.)
They also didn't explicity state that there was fraud on Pretium's part, just implied it enough for a very jittery and suspicious market to jump to that conclusion. The bottom line is that lawsuits usually don't do anybody but lawyers any good, and even if Strathcona doesn't recover, PVG will. The proof is in the bulk sample pudding (nuggets and all). The market will recognize it, and value PVG accordingly. The tide already seems to be turning, although there will undoubtedly be more than a few weak hands sighing a breath of relief and getting out at a slim profit (or loss) on the way back up.
