Apple's Dilemma

Apple's DilemmaThe ball is in WiLAN's court now on whether to appeal the verdict.

Based on McKool-Smith's accusations of Apple making false claims and coerced 'expert' witness testimony that WiLAN would be compelled to file an appeal.  IMO WiLAN is using the appeal as a bargaining chip to strike a licensing deal with Apple.  That appears to be what WiLAN did with ALU et al when they lost the 3GPP trial and did not appeal - WHY? Because the parties struck a deal and ALU acquired a license a month later.

Apple's 'smoke & mirrors' defence tactic must have them in a bargaining mood in order to avoid risking an appeals court decision going against them.  I believe WiLAN actually is in a better position than people think.  I'm betting a deal with Apple is imminent.
