RE:RE:RE:Looking like the kudo factor.... I agree this one is tough to sort out at first glance. My main tech guy likes what he thinks he sees, loves the concept. Is that all it is right now, a 'concept'. Maybe, but so was the DOS operating system way back when. And although not in a public company, the guy who came up with RDIR sure used that success to move on to greater accomplishments.
As to this whole 'cloud' thing. A great sell job, what? A money-maker for sure. But once you get past the slick, state-of-the-art, blue sky, fluffy cloud, yet safe and secure-as-all-heck advertising what is it? Is it the NSR with their *acres* of storgae capacity selling safety and security through proxy companies...thereby making it easier for them to leisurely go over material? Or is it three obese kids sitting in a drafty warehouse in Finland surrounded by a bunch of outdated computers hard-linked together...with the 'secure' part of their cloud service being the padlock on the front door and the 'safety' part consisting of an old Honda generator, half full of gasoline...to be used as a power source if one of the fat kids opts to buy a pizza and forgets to pay the hydro bill?
If ANY is merely a concept...so what? It is one heck of a concept. So was Windows.
If enough people in the village think the old Emperor is wearing a very fine suit, then so be it. I mean really...spouting out that the Emperor is naked no longer applies in this soon-to-collapse modern economy. I mean really...after the kid blew the whistle on the Emperor, no one ever heard from him again.
