Very true D, but it should be noted that the 1812 war was really between the US and Great Britain....Canada was simply a minor colony at the time and the vast majority of the combatants on the Canadian side were British soldiers under the command of British generals....on the US side they were a motley crew of militia and regulars. Not to forget the natives (or Indians as they were called at the time) who fought on both sides.....The British naval forces had the greatest success - actually burning down the White House, as you know, but the skirmishes between British and American forces along the border were not very rewarding for either side.........a bit of a fiasco all around imho.
Yes looks like DM could be moving up again but who knows? The back and forth is a bit ridiculous and meaningless........until some real news comes out.......imho..........
