November 5th 2013, Burnaby, BC, Canada – Naturally Splendid Enterprises (the “Company”) (NSP – TSX.V) announces they have entered into a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Caldic (“Caldic”) for the plant-based Omega products H2Omega™ and HempOmega™. These proprietary Omega products created by Boreal Technologies Inc. and exclusively licensed to Naturally Splendid are patent pending, powder and aqueous Omega products that utilize nano-encapsulation for increased nutritional benefits. These products have been developed to deliver a more targeted and sustained release of Omega oils into the bloodstream when compared to existing Omega oil products. Preliminary testing has confirmed that these products have increased bioavailability and sustainability as well as a longer shelf life.
Caldic is currently evaluating H2Omega™ and HempOmega™ for suitability in their extensive ingredient offerings and as a premix for a wide variety of potential products. Caldic will help to determine the best markets and potential clients for these Omega products. Entering into the ingredient supply business in 1985, Caldic is now recognized as Canada’s leading food ingredient supplier; through their extensive selection of food ingredients specializing in the manufacture of antioxidants, release agents, bakery concentrates dough conditioners and vitamin and mineral enrichment blends. Caldic’s laboratory capabilities for ingredient development and full technical and regulatory support allow for extensive testing of our H2Omega™ and HempOmega™ products. Caldic has ingredient supply facilities strategically located across North America providing its customers with coast-to-coast coverage for both distribution and technical sales.
