Are you suggesting an unbalanced, 3-sided accounting entry...a reduction (credit) to cash when the payment is made with a sumultaneous and equal reduction (debit) to the current liability to reflect the payment amount, and also to record the same payment amount as an expense (debit) to the income statement?
