RE:The Globe and Mail have I remember way back probably 25 years ago something said about evaluating oil companies.  A fund manager who had great success said when an oil or gas company was at a price to cash flow ratio of 3 it was a buy and when it was over 10 it was a sell.  This is my recollection...it was just a general rule with many other factors to consider
