RE:Trying to process this...
Well, I share some of your concerns / observations as well. I thought Freeport had actually drilled on 100% held RMC ground but some say it was only chips samples. So which was it? It was made public knowledge that Freeport was doing unauthorized work on 100% held RMC claims but I am still unclear as to what work they did. We do know now that RMC are doing CSAMT surveys on their 100% ground and they have been very good at identifying drill targets. I think Freeport was indeed snooping around on 100% RMC ground perhaps to get a better understanding of the geology and to decide whether they should take RMC out all together with a buyout offer. Lets face it, these types of deposits come in clusters so Freeport would be foolish to assume there won't be more similar deposits on 100% RMC ground. Its only a matter of time before more deposits get found on 100% RMC ground. They have a very large land position in the area.
What is even more strange is that no drill holes from from 2013 have yet to be released. We are still getting drill results from last year!!! I have never been apart of an exploration project with that kind of lag time. Now it does take 3 or 4 months in some cases to drill some of these deeper holes but that still gives you 8 months to get assays and get the information released. Come on guys, seriously!!! This is crazy!!! So why is Freeport delaying the release of these results??? Reservoir actually had come out and said that results would be released in a more timely manner but since they said that the drill results have actually slowed considerably. Its worst than ever. Why???
We know the budget for next year will be increased significantly to $35-$40 million (Serbian Prime Minister in New Orleans stated so publically) and I do believe somebody also mentioned that Freeport's CEO in a speech in New York compared RMC's Timok copper gold discovery to the huge Grasberg copper gold deposit owned by Freeport in Indonesia. If that is true than this thing is absolutely huge but it is really frustrating to be a full year behind on getting assay results. It makes it very difficult for investors to make an informed decision.
