RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:There Seems to Be Lots of Selling Volume Before the AGM
The number of outstanding shares is approx 350 mil. Lets assume the daily volume is 350,000 which on most days is much less than this. That constitutes less than 0.1% of the shares available for trade, hence the majority of the shares are not traded and for the ones that are traded, it doesn't matter why they are traded.

My original statement should have stated a time period in which I used a 1 day time period. But lets use a larger time period of 1 month. Assuming 0.1% of the shares are traded daily and that they are not repeat traders such as day traders, so that each buyer or seller is only involved once in any transaction during the month.  0.1% x 30 days is 3%. This implies only 3% of the shareholders are trading for the month. The other 97% are holding.  If you just had only these two bits of information about a stock, what would you say about the stock?  (Note: repeat traders increases the number of shareholders that are holding)

Some of us talk about technical analysis and I believe it has its value, but the analysis is based on extremely low volume. What is the technical analysis of the large portion of shareholders that are holding their stock? And shouldn't the technical analysis be based upon the largest group i.e. the shareholders holding the stock, be a heavier weighted indicator of a stock?  Granted, we would be cautious if 50% of a stock was traded in a short period of time, but what is normal trading volume for any stock? 5%? 10%?  Which in any case, our stock doesn't come anywhere close to that trading volume.  All we have observed is our share price drop on low daily trading volume, which indicates that is not the real share price at all.  This is why Ned Goodman and the other institutional investors don't care that they bought at $0.25 and $0.30 and the price is now $0.11, because they know that is not the real share price.

Did these institutional owners show up at the AGM? Based upon the AGM posts, it sounds like the attendance was very low. Perhaps they showed up on the conference call? Were their a lot of questions from a lot of different people? I didn't get a sense that there was.  It is rather strange that a lot of people especially institutional owners not participate in the AGM and ask questions if they had doubts about their investments.

To another point.... it was mentioned on this board that the deal with IMC was being revised in our favour. So IMC is going to get a smaller slice of the pie and still maintain their relationship with WOF? If true, what does that say about IMC and how they value this resource?

I think the actions of the big players speak louder than the share price...... but that is just my opinion.

For disclosure, I own a nice chunk of shares in Wof and will be buying more in the new year.
