If it is OK, can you tell us the reasons your company refuses to use LPG? Thanks

People remember the large fires created from 1980-90s condensate fracs.  A good friend in the service industry says that service companies refuse to pump light-end hydrocarbons because of this.  The big service companies will only pump 40 API and lower hydrocarbon fracs.  It is no secret that gelled condensate (high API) is the best frac'ing fluid around, they have been doing these since the 80s, but have quit do to safety.  GFS hybrid jobs appear to be condensate + butane + propane, which is not only energized but also highly explosive.

Another factor is that my company has a lot of acreage where water fracs are still highly economic.  Why take the risk of a fire when you are still making 100% ROR on your average water jobs?

This is why I still think the smaller players will make it happen.  Eventually the low hanging fruit reservoirs will be done in 5-10 years (eagleford, bakken).  Companies will need technology like gasfrac to make poorer quality rocks work.
