RE:RE:the permit meetings..My sense here is that the govt insisted that HBK submit a permit application that covered the max operation - upto 3 million tons per year, rather than the 250k per year. Although that's nice from a 'get it all over and done with' perspective, it's had the unfortunate consequence of delaying the start of the operation. Had the govt accepted and issued the 250k per year initial permit, then HBK would be at work now.
I wonder that BC mines doesn't have something that could act as an initial permit during these times, that would allow HBK to begin moving ahead with the setup and initial production. Perhaps along the lines of an MOU.
Anyone know anything more?
