RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Chinese will be all over thisYeah you got me.
I assumed you meant the ercb when you said AUC, they of course have rules on foreign investment. When you said AUC it through me, so I would like you to explain to me how the Alberta Utilities Commission has any say or effect on oilsands devlopment. I direct you and all other readers to the Alberta Energy Annual report on what each agency does,
https://www.energy.alberta.ca/Org/Publications/AR2013.pdf
for ease of access I have posted below.
I am truly sorry I assumed you were smart enough to be talking ercb and not AUC
My bad..
The AUC
ƒ Regulates investor-owned electric, natural gas and water utilities, and certain
municipally-owned electricity utilities to ensure Albertans receive safe and reliable
utility service at just and reasonable rates.
ƒ Independently makes decisions on the need, siting, construction, alteration, operation
and decommissioning of natural gas and certain electricity transmission facilities.
ƒ Regulates power plants in a similar fashion, except the need for new power plants is
determined by market forces.
ƒ Develops and amends rules that support the orderly operation of the retail natural
gas and electricity markets and adjudicates on market and operational rule
contraventions that the Market Surveillance Administrator may bring before the AUC.
ƒ Ensures the delivery of Alberta’s utility services takes place in a manner that is fair,
responsible and in the public interest
