The 21 licenses in the Western Foreland cover a combined area of 1,808 square kilometers to the north, south and west of the Kamoa-Kakula Copper Complex.

Glencore raises stake in Xstrata copper mine Mutanda
 
Zurich ( awp ) - The commodity group Glencore Xstrata has indirectly increased its stake in copper mine Mutanda . Nearly 14.5% of shares in the company based in the Democratic Republic of Congo have been redeemed by High Grade Minerals at a cash price of 430 million USD . Glencore and now holds 69 % stake in Mutanda , the company said Thursday in a statement.
 
The remaining 31% Mutanda are in possession of the Dutch Fleurette Group of Companies , a subsidiary within the amalgam of businesses around the family of Israeli entrepreneur Dan Gertler .
 
Mutanda is a copper mine and cobalt located in the Congolese province of Katanga has an annual capacity of 190,000 tonnes. The 2012 Annual Mutanda profit totaled 152 million USD . In July , the company was merged with mine Kansuki Sarl through the issuance of new shares.
