RE:RE:RE:Globe amd Mail (Suncor disappointed with Syncrude)

RE:RE:RE:Globe amd Mail (Suncor disappointed with Syncrude)Remember that the original IPO's with Canadian and Athabasca Oil Sands Trust were designed to generate distributions/ dividends to the owners and were sold to the institutions  for that purpose.  As time goes on I beleive you will continue to see an ever-growing investor base seeking long-term income that can fortify their retirement plan.  As such with increasing confidence that the dividend stream is not only reliable but growing you will see more demand for the shares which will drive the share price up while providing a substantial dividend.  Your suggestion of buying back shares I believe would not only alienate the predominat investor base that exists today but would be counter to COS stated objective of distributing excess cash flow to the shareholders therefore highly unlikely if not impossible to occur.
No as shareholders if we want to increase our ownership percentage of COS we can buy them.  Otherwise we have the discretion to do as we see fit  with the excess cash.  I would far prefer the choice then management making that choice for me.
